The Rosette Carafe was revived in 1987. The original shape of this glittering carafe was designed in 1898, with the extravagantly rich cutting created in 1902.Here, two twelve pointed rosettes are enclosed by a circular side band cut in an ornamental drapery motif. Completing the perfect harmony is a delicate crystal stopper that duplicates in miniature the form and cutting of the entire carafe. Twelve and seven-eighths inches high, six and three-quarters inches wide, Edition limited to 200. For many Baccarat creations only the blueprints of their original designs remain because of turbulent historical events. In 1984 representatives from Baccarat & Neiman Marcus devised an ambitious venture. From the archives of blueprints, they hoped to assemble a special collection of decorative art that could accurately be recreated for world markets. Historical pieces recreated without compromise that were once an exclusive Provence of the aristocracy. The thinking behind this selection process was this, the reason is that they are the most represented of the evolution of creation in Baccarat. Most of these pieces have been exhibited in various exhibitions or specialty made for important people, further they are very difficult to make.
